![]() ![]() Undead don't have negative morale effects. with the Necromancer it doesn't take long until you have more crystals then you need. The upside is.you don't have to pay attention where you fight&settle and you spare the crystals for terraforming.but esp. for morale because i noticed that for Units most negative morale effects still work but you miss most positive effects.citys are plain neutral.so you miss the boni from high morale, including those nice events and get that minor Undeadboon. Upkeep's a pain.)ĭF1871: Aside from the "feeling" i think the Undead need some balancing changes, esp. ![]() (On the downside, this utterly broke my economy. This does require a specific playstyle, though. In the third campaign scenario in particular, where you fight tons of undead, I was just seizing control of entire enemy armies, making them serve my character and amassing a giant horde of Ghouls to overrun my enemies. Especially once you really figure out how to get Ghoul Touch, Necromantic Aura, Animate Dead and Control Undead working it really did feel like I was playing a mighty lord of the dead. You can still use the extra abilities by going to the character's description screen and selecting it there.Īnyway, playing the necromancer felt cool to me. However, note that it's just a display quirk. I made sure in the last scenario of the campaign to re-build my hero with fewer than 12 abilities. with the Necromancer it doesn't take long until you have more crystals then you need.Ĭutting a long speech short.i didn't feel like playing THE UNDEAD :) and i think the design could use some balancing changes.still fun AOW3 instead of THE UNDEAD and the NECROMANCER.the Ruler of DeathĪside from this.i had a big Problem with 12-Slot limit.4 basics+Heal/Heal Undead/Eat Corpse/Raise Cropse/.and very fast the slots where gone i didn't found a way to use the "surplus"-Abilities The icon-limit is annoying, and affects the necromancer more than most. The Banshee gave some "Undead" taste and maybe the /Orks.that don't reg anymore )Īside from the "feeling" i think the Undead need some balancing changes, esp. Well.not THE UNDEAD(Vampires, liches as leaders and the mindless hordes of zombies&Skelis :) but mostly the standard Elf/Ork/.that don't reg anymore and traded Blight+Frostress for Fire/Holyweakness.i hoped raised dead or ghuls would be a "adon" to the undead ranks instead of the coredesign but i was wrong. I just finished the EL-Campaign and i am curios what you think about the Necromacer Class and the Undead.Īs far as it counts for me.i found the Necromacer a bit crazy^^.the class has some nice spells and can be really strong at the long term but with his abilites he felt more like some kind of shadowblade then a mighty Spellcaster that rules overs the 's hard to describe but for me.it missed the right "feeling" :)Īside from this.i had a big Problem with 12-Slot limit.4 basics+Heal/Heal Undead/Eat Corpse/Raise Cropse/.and very fast the slots where gone i didn't found a way to use the "surplus"-Abilities
